Asim is a prominent industry figure having spent almost a quarter of a century in both mainstream and specialist lending. Prior to joining Hilco Real Estate Finance, Asim held a number of senior positions at UK banks and non-bank lenders including Metro Bank, Lendhub and Cynergy Bank.
Having joined Metro Bank as a Commercial Director at the peak of the credit crunch, Asim quickly progressed to become the Head of Property Finance where he oversaw the bank’s successful expansion into real estate. He worked closely with the CEO and Chairman for much of his time, notably on the bank’s concentric diversification into property development and structured finance sectors. Later, in the midst of a national lockdown, Asim took the reins at Lendhub as CCO to help launch its bridging proposition. At Lendhub, Asim helped drive the growth of the business from a boutique lender to a leading and well-respected short-term debt provider. More recently, Asim served as the Head of Bridging Finance at Cynergy Bank where he took the bank’s new STL initiative to market.
At Hilco Real Estate Finance, Asim plies his trade in and around London and the Home Counties where he has a network of long-standing client and intermediary relationships.
